    Kai Chavers, 68, of Batesville passed away January 3, 2017. Kai was born July 17, 1948 to Ken and Maxine Bradley in Newport, AR.  Kai was a loving wife and mother who lived her life for her family.

    Kai is preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Maxine Bradley, 2 grandsons, Blake and Drake McCoy, a great-grandson, Tatum Smith, a brother, Kenneth Laverl Bradley and a sister, Kenny Sue Bradley.

    Kai is survived by her husband, Harold Chavers, her daughters, Lisa Chavers of Texarkana, AR; Nechia  (Jeremy) Mayhue of Gurdon, AR; Shasta (Lee) Farner of Chattsworth, GA; Julie (Ricky) Bennett of Caryville, TN; her sisters, Deborah McShan of Houston, TX; Dottie Lovendahl of Malvern; Sherri Melinda (Phillip) Bufford of Gassville, AR; her grandchildren, Morgan, Cody, Salli, Joshua, Brandon, Jordan, Fischer, Cameron, Hunter, Aaron, Steven, Natalie and Ashton, her great-grandchildren, Jayden, Brayden, Tyler, Talon, Bentley, Bradley Sawyer, Gracie, Delilah Rose, Benjamin, Nathaniel, October, Jazer, Hannah, and Angel, many nieces and nephews as well as many other loved ones that will miss her dearly.

    Visitation will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 5-8 PM at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel in Malvern. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Atkinson Chapel with Bro. Todd Bray officiating. Pallbearers are Ricky Bennett, Jeremy Mayhue, Lee Farner, Shane Dempsey, Brandon Ostrom, and Joshua Ostrom. Interment will be at Lono Cemetery.

    I am sorry for your Mother's passing. She was too young, same age as my Momma was. I can tell by all the comments on here, that she was a wonderful person and a wonderful Momma. I am so sorry for all you having to give her up. Just remember that you will see her again, that's God's promise to all of us. She's in a glorious place now. I have been praying for all of you. You will be okay. It hurts badly but as time goes by, it will be easier. God Bless each of you! Love Bunny

    Dear Lisa, Nechia and Family, My thoughts and prayers are certainly with you at this time. Loosing a parent, especially a mom you are so close to is too difficult to describe.
